SGSMP or Some Gamerz Survival Multiplayer is a Minecraft server based in Oldham County Ky.
SGSMP was created on June 29th, 2022, for the members of a group chat titled Some Gamerz. It started as a private server with 7 members. After the first season ended on September 7th, 2022, the server experienced steady growth, reaching around 20 players at its peak. This season is often regarded as one of the best for the server. Following season 2, there was a short season 3 beta in early February 2023, but it was quickly shut down due to technical issues. Afterward, the server went dark for several months with no news regarding the potential arrival of season 3.
May 2023 marked a rebirth of the server, with Season 3 being planned and launched in a matter of days. This season brought in a whole new community and set a record of 9 players at one time (with an average of 3). This season witnessed a number of major builds and conflicts. The following modded fourth season was another low point, seeing only 5 players in total. The fifth season had no rules, witnessing a surge in player activity and beating the third season's record with 10 players. The total player count reached around 30. Season 6 is ongoing as of March 1, 2023.
